How to mark and manage session based attendance in canvas ?

Hello All,

Does Canvas have a solution for marking attendance at a session level or any work arounds for the same?

The idea is to be able to give the instructors/faculty the option to be able to mark the attendance at a session level i.e. if there are 5 different sessions in the day then each of the instructors will have the option of marking the attendance for the number of learners present in the classroom. The instructor over time should be able to collate this attendance based on subjects/courses and provide the necessary grading if there is a condition of % of attendance in the final grade.

Also Roll Call Attendance: Same Day Class & Lab - This solution does not work as it is a lot of effort on the Faculty to follow this solution.

I am ok even if there are any other third-party solutions that would make this easy for Admins and Teachers.

Hello @RatishRamapurat 

I know instructor has the ability to mark attendance at the section level. If you had your different sessions of students in their own section, they could possibly change the section filter in the Roll Call tool at the time they are taking roll.
