How do I make sections visible to students?

The Canvas Administrator made certain sections (files, announcements, quizzes, etc) visible to teachers but not students.  I would like to make these sections visible to students. How do I do that?

Thank you Kelley.  I do mean course navigation menu items.  However, I couldn't find the answer to my question in the links you provided.  See the screen shot below. "Files" and "Announcements" are enabled, but still not visible to students.  How do I make them visible? Are they not actually enabled?

Nevermind.  It seems these sections will only be visible once I add content.  Is that correct?

Hi  I had the same problem as @sgraunke but I added content and it still wasn't visible to my students.

Same here.  I have content and I published the modules and the course, but the modules are still hidden.  I cannot figure out how to get them activated.

To be sure, have you moved the "Modules" course navigation menu up so that it is visible in your course?  You can do this within your course "Settings" >> "Navigation" tab screen.

How do I manage Course Navigation links?
