An instructor is asking me how to delete a video or image that is embedded in a discussion?
Solved! Go to Solution.
@brandon_white1 , greetings! The Instructor would need to edit the discussion or discussion post. As soon as they click the edit button for the content they want to edit, they can then use regular keyboard functionality to select and delete (or backspace to remove) the video or image they don't want in their course.
Here are the guides that explain how to do this:
How do I edit a discussion in a course?
How do I edit or delete student discussion replies in a course?
How do I add and modify text in the Rich Content Editor as an instructor?
Hope this helps! Kona

I have the same question. I have an embedded Panopto video in a page in one of my modules. I'd like to re-record it, but I can't get the original to go away. I deleted the original Panopto video, and now I have a permanent error message embedded in the page. I can't highlight it or backspace over it. Any idea why that would be?
Hmm. Oddly enough, as I was recording a video to show you that it doesn't work, it suddenly started working!!
Hello, Kona. I have a faculty member wanting instructions on deleting a video from the discussion assignment. So, I started skimming through options, including How Tos for the Rich Content Editor. I cannot find a how to delete a video. I know it seems straight forward, but it is not for this person. Thanks. - Ronni
