It sounds as if your district might have set a date for terms that has passed. Once that happens, it will require going to a different menu to get back to the class.
- Click on Courses on the left site menu. At the bottom is an option for All Courses. Select that option.
- From the list on the next page, find the desired course. The first list is current classes. The second list is Past Enrollments. From the sound of it, that might be where your course is.
- Now you can look up the information you need.
One more detail to look into...term end dates. Once you get into your course, click on Settings at the bottom of the course menu. Look for Participation to see if it has a listed Start and End date. If the last day of your quarter was the end date, that is why you cannot find it. If it is a quarter class, they should consider putting the end date about one week AFTER the end of the quarter so that teachers can still access everything and input grades. If this is a semester or year class, then talk with your district's Canvas administrator about changing those end dates to about a week after the end of the semester/year. If you have the same students for that long, it creates more work for you to have separate courses for each quarter.
