I searched the community for a while and could not find a clear answer, and trying to follow links to "themes" resulted in me being able to do nothing, so I want to ask the question here again and see if anything has happened or if anyone (that understands this system better than me) can tell me if at least its going to happen:
In the GRADEBOOK
I would like a FILTER
with the options:
Assignments that do not count for the final grade are important (as has been discussed elsewhere in the "community")... but they also make the gradebook hard to use for both students and teachers.
It would be great to have an easy filter available.
Is this possible now? If not, how do I put this back in things that should be considered?
Thank you!
Alvar

To tag on to @Canvastic's response, you'll want to read through these Guides before submitting your Idea:
Instructure Community Guide - Instructure Community (canvaslms.com)
You might have more luck under "Assignments" rather than under "Grades."
Every assignment is in a group. You might need to click near the top right of the screen to see them by groups.
Every group should have a weight near the right side of the screen inside an oval. If a group does not have a weight, it does not count in the final grade.
You can filter the gradebook by clicking on "Apply Filters" then picking a group that does or does not count in the final grade.
