Grade Sync Errors

Does anyone know why this grade sync error happens? And how to correct it?

  • Assignment "assignment name" is not in an imported/synced assignment group in Canvas. Please ensure all assignments set to Post to SIS are in an imported/synced category.

The teacher double-checked sync to PowerSchool is enabled, checked the assignment was in the correct group, and after remastering grade passback the error status remains.

Thank you for contacting the Instructure Community. it sounds like they did the basic troubleshooting that should have resolved the error. That error is pretty straight forward and means that the assignment is in an assignment group that hasn't been synced properly. Have you checked in on the status of the assignment in addition to what the teacher told you? They may have missed a step if that error is still showing despite the attempts at fixing the problem. You can try re-syncing the assignment groups by clicking the three dots in the top right corner of the assignments page - if any group wasn't brought over correctly this should fix it. It looks like there are other errors as well (per you screenshot) besides the assignment group error. Here is  the full list of error codes we see and how to fix them:
