Classic Quiz Action Log: Start Time Not Starting at "0:01"

Hi all. We have a student who accessed a timed classic quiz (15 minutes), and they said they only had a minute to complete the quiz before getting booted out. When I looked at their action log it showed that they hadn't started the quiz until 13 minutes and 51 seconds (13:51) had passed. How is this possible? I checked the action log of the other students and they all start at 0:01, which makes sense.
How can a student Start a Quiz at any time other than 0:01?
