Change Course Nickname AFTER Course Card Disappears

I know that you can change the nickname of a course on the course card from the dashboard, but when that course is no longer active, the nicknames still show on the "all courses" list. Is there no way to edit nicknames after courses are complete, after they can no longer appear as course cards because they are past enrollments? Is there no way to edit the nickname in the course itself?

If you are no longer able to access the course from your dashboard card, the only way to update the nickname would be by one of your admins using an API call.
