Canvas Error Description: I'm a student at MSJC in Temecula, and I have an art assignment where I have to upload pictures onto the discussion board. I already took the photos in JPG format like my professor asked us to, but Canvas won't let me upload them. Every time I try to upload any file type, it always says I've exceeded the file storage limit. I already tried using different browsers, refreshing the page, and editing the photos, but none of those things worked. I don't know how to resolve this, and the assignment is due on December 3rd. Please get back to me as soon as possible before then. Thanks.

Hello @ThomasBabson ...
You may not be able to upload your images because you've exceeded your limit of files uploaded to your personal "Files" area of Canvas. The default for all users is around 50 MB (yeah...not a lot, I know). To check where you are in your own account, in Canvas go to your "Account" icon in the far left-hand side global navigation menu. Then, within the fly-out menu that appears, select "Files". This is your personal file storage. At the bottom, you'll see a percentage out of 52.4 MB (your total size may differ than mine...but that is what mine currently says). Are you near or at 100%? If so, you'll need to delete some files from your personal storage so that you can upload these new files to your discussion topic. Just so you know, when you look at the "My Files" >> "Submissions" folder, you'll see a tiny padlock icon on the "Submissions" folder. You cannot delete any files from that folder because that is where your assignment file submissions are stored. And, files in that folder do not count toward your file storage quota...so you don't need to worry about removing files from that particular folder...since it's locked anyway. Here are some Guides for you to look at with more information:
