Announcements

The announcements tab shows that it is not visible to students.  How do enable the students to view the announcements?

Does the course currently have any announcements that would be currently available to students?  The Announcements (and most other course menu tabs) do not show for students unless there is actually content under the tab that they can see.

Just send an Announcement, and the crossed out eyeball will go away.

I did send an Annoncement that was delayed to the next morning.  It never sent and the eye is still there with a slash.

That did not solve the issue. I posted an announcement, but it still reads as 'disabled,' even though it is enabled in course navigation.

Looks like a fix has been applied, but I still have one page that shows the announcement tab disabled, even though the announcement now appears on the homepage.

In addition to the information that you've received from @mzimmerman and @SusanNiemeyer, you'd want to ensure that your "Announcements" course navigation tab has been enabled in your course navigation menu:
