Additional options not available in rubric

Working on a course and I am not able to add some rubrics to some assignments AND be able to edit the rubric to check "use for grading." I am able to add the account level rubric to other assignments and get this, but some assignments it does NOT work. I have tried deleting the assignment and re-adding - no go. I click to edit the rubric and get sent to the rubric pages. I am not given the option of "make a copy of this rubric" on these discussions that are giving me issues, but I am on OTHER discussions in the same class. I haven't run into this issue in the decade+ we have been using Canvas - any suggestions?

Hello! 

I am dropping this link  because I think the issues you are having are addressed at the very bottom of the guide. If that doesn't help, are there any patterns that you notice on the assignments that you are having an issue with?
