Adding a student to module

I want to add a part time student on the same course but a different module onto another module so se can be part of the conferences with that group.  How do I do that?

All students should be able to access all modules?

What is it that you're trying to accomplish that isn't working?

Well, as I said in the original question, what I want to do is have conferenmces with all the students on my course at the same time.  The differentiation of the modules is actually the problem.  I wnat students from different modules active at the same time as a community not separate. How do I do that?

You should be able to conference with all of your students in your course using the conference tool - How do I start a conference?‌. Conferencing is separate of modules.

Only having little bits of information of how your course or courses are organized, I'm making a small assumption that you might be wanting to conference with students from multiple sections of your course(s)? If that is the case, you may need to use a tool that is not restricted to your single course.  Web Conferencing Resources‌ may be helpful in selecting one of those tools.

Hi Renee, I have been using the conference tool that you suggest.  the problem is that the list of people on the module is set by the university administrators according to the module.  I want to have a conference with students across different modules.  I cant add the student to the people list.  The conference tool as far as I can see only applies to the module, not the course.  So for example, I have a part time student on a module that others are not on yet, and vice versa.  I am having to run separate conferences for each module when I could be more efficiently doing one for all.

Aha, "module" = course—is that right, Paul?    If the courses (modules) have been cross-listed into a single course, students enrolled in those courses can be invited to the same conference. If not, this is not possible, and doing so would open the door to FERPA violations.

Hi, it seems we are yet again divided by a common language!?  Yes, it appears what we are calling modules you are calling course (which is the overarching structure for the collection of modules in my head...if that makes sense?).  Ok, I am not sure what FERPA is but I can guess.  I will look at other solutions then, Thanks, Paul.
