Adding a category to the Display Grade as...

Does anyone know if it is possible to change the categories for the Display Grade as... window? A teacher asked if, instead of complete/incomplete, we could have "collected/not collected."

I am pretty sure the answer is no, but I thought I would ask anyway.

You might be able to do this via letter grading, but I'm not sure whether you can set a grade of zero (but you could grade in bulk as zero before the students start to respond)

I do not know if this can be changed at all through back-end coding...as that is not my strong suit.  However, I guess I would have two points of caution:

• If a change like this was made, it would not affect just one instructor's course.  It would affect all courses within that Canvas account.  This may be an unwanted change for other instructors who do like the Complete/Incomplete wording.
• Changing this wording then makes it more confusing when instructors are looking for help in the Canvas Guides.  Canvas documentation references Complete/Incomplete ... not Collected/Not Collected.  See the section on "Select Grading Type" in this Guide: How do I add or edit details in an assignment? - Instructure Community - 971 (canvaslms.com).

Even though I understand why someone may want to do this, I hope this helps to explain why I would be hesitant to make a change like this.
