Canvas Student Release Notes (iOS 7.11)
Canvas iOS app version updates are distributed in a phased rollout, which distributes the update to all users enrolled in automatic updates over time. The features in these notes may not immediately be available, but iOS users can manually update the app at any time in the App Store. The Canvas Student iOS App requires iOS 15.0 or later.

- Smart Search feature added to the course Home page.
- Improved integration for New Quizzes.
- The assignment list includes more detailed information.
- PDF annotations are preserved even when cache is reset.
- Resolved assignment submission issues for root accounts.
- Addressed issue where assignments outside available grading periods were not displaying.
- Resolved display issue for No Submission and On Paper assignments showing Not Submitted status.
- Resolved tab bar issues on iPads running iOS 18 for smoother navigation.
- Resolved tab bar overlap with the color picker during file annotation.
- Addressed disabled course navigation options appearing in some cases.
- Improved offline access to images and Studio videos after an app update.
- Resolved file upload failures when filenames contained quotation marks.
- Improved calendar display of filters and events in certain cases.
- Addressed message display issue in the inbox where the end of messages was not visible.
