Canvas Student Release Notes (iOS 7.10)
Canvas iOS app version updates are distributed in a phased rollout, which distributes the update to all users enrolled in automatic updates over time. The features in these notes may not immediately be available, but iOS users can manually update the app at any time in the App Store. The Canvas Student iOS App requires iOS 15.0 or later.
Student App Updates
- On the Assignments page, additional options to filter and sort assignments are added.
- Custom calendar frequency page retains the currently selected frequency.
- Inbox messages display attached audio and video comments.
- Authentication for accessing course files is improved.
- Updated the inbox tab to display the number of unread messages accurately.
- Addressed issues with pasting long text in inbox messages.
- Resolved limitations preventing recipient additions when replying to messages on the web version.
- Improved messaging functionality to support sending messages to over 100 recipients.
- Ensured new messages create separate conversations as expected.
- Enabled downloaded files to be accessible in offline mode.
- Adjusted the offline sync picker screen to allow cancellation while loading or displaying errors.
- Improved offline sync picker reliability to load consistently.
- Corrected assignment visibility on the grades screen to display only relevant assignments.
- Updated the "Based on graded assignments" toggle to reflect accurate letter grades.
- Improved the annotation bar display in landscape mode.
