[ePortfolios] Customize Folio Interface
We have multiple portfolio technology tools on our campus and Folio will soon become one of them. Our Career Center has provided us with important feedback on how this tool can be helpful for students, and the interface should be customizable so that we can control what words and phrases students see when accessing Folio through Canvas. For example, our Career Center staff has pointed out that phrases like "Connect to Jobs & Internships" as well references to "Jobs" and "Resumes" may be inaccurate or unhelpful at best, and only serve to confuse students who may become confused on where to get career assistance on campus.
Folio may be a helpful place for career development for some; however, the institution should be able to customize the words and phrases that display on the Folio portal page (portfolium.com) as well as the external tools page on a person's Canvas profile. The proposed solution is to provide admins the ability to customize the words and layout of the Folio LTI integration as well as specific pages on portfolium.com so they can align with each campus's unique career development objectives.
