[Speedgrader] Submit Button is Confusing
The blue "Submit" button in Speedgrader is confusing. Educators think that clicking "Submit" is actually posting grades. It does not do this...it "Saves" the comments to the Assignment. Over and over, the educators I work with are asking "Why are my students not seeing their grades? I submitted them!" The "Submit" button should be changed to "Save", or "Save Comments", or something similar. Especially when Grade Posting Policies are set to "Manual", and if educators do not understand what that means, they click "Submit", and students are constantly reaching out to the educators asking them why their grades have not posted yet.
The blue "Submit" button in Speedgrader should be changed to "Save", or "Save Comments", or something similar. Prompt assessment and feedback are imperative to student success. The "Submit" button in Speedgrader misses the mark in relation to this pedagogy. Delays in assessment and feedback are creating student and educator frustration.
