[Portfolium] Auto Populate Student Roster in Portfolium Course

When faculty assign a Portfolium Assignment using the LTI Canvas integration, students are only added to the roster when they launch a Portfolium assignment from Canvas.

This is problematic because faculty have no way to assign a score of zero in Portfolium. Instead, faculty have to navigate to the Canvas grade book and assign the grade there. The first time a faculty member creates a Portfolium assignment, it should automatically populate the student roster.

I agree! Faculty also can't tell who has not interacted because the student's name is missing on the roster. They have to do a side by side comparison of the Canvas roster with the Portfolium roster. With a large class it is easy to miss students.   It is important to make sure our students are engaged and to catch problems early, not after the due date has passed and the instructor is giving a student a 0.
