[New Quizzes] Retake a quiz or set of questions for less points

Problem statement:

I would like to use New Quizzes as a tutoring tool to help students learn, rather than a tool to simply show where they are deficient. This would involve letting students retake quizzes and questions.

Proposed solution:

Retake a question for less points while taking the quiz.

Agreed. They are similar ideas, but student does not have to wait till quiz is over to try again. They can try again now while they are still thinking about it. Even better if they can get some feedback to address common thinking mistakes before they try again.

While we appreciate your proposal, we also want to be transparent about the likelihood of something like this making it to production. Upon review by the Product Team, this request was identified as one that they would not be able to include in their current or future plans.

We recently released functionality for a Build on last attempt setting where a student could take an additional attempt only on the questions they got wrong.  This might be a nice alternative that would allow your students to show that they've improved from the first attempt.
