Currently, fill-in-the-blank type questions do not allow math teachers to also generate random numbers in creating the question. Therefore, I have to create 4 to 8 versions of a fill-in-the-blank question in order to have randomization.
Create a new type of question that is a hybrid of "fill-in-the-blank" and "formula" question.
