[Modules] Mast Module Lock Button

Problem statement:

It takes a ton of time and a lot of work to lock modules and set up all the requirements for that module. And really, why would I have things in the module if I am not going to do them. (I could create a module next to it and put those things that are related but that I am not going to do this time around and then decide to not publish that module.)

It is an extremely repetitive process that could be done with a program, especially when you have lots of assignments/items and lots of modules. Students love the check marks on assignments and completed modules. It really creates a sense of satisfaction. I often import modules into a canvas course from a 3rd party. Taking the time to set up the module lock settings is extremely time consuming and simply repetitive.

Proposed solution:

A Master button at the top of modules page to set requirements for every single module at once to default to complete every item that is in that module.

Students love to scroll through modules and see everything checked off green and then the module checked green and then they can minimize that module and be done with it. Not all assignments are the same so they would be set to the following settings based on if that item could be done that way.

Here is the default order of settings.

  1. submitted (If that can't be done for that item then default to the next option.)
  2. Mark as done If that can't be done for that item then default to the next option.
  3. Viewed.

Thanks for your consideration.
