[Modules] Add Images to Modules.

It would be awesome if instructors could add images to modules - specifically to add an image in the very first module in their list of modules. This way an instructor could create a Title Page to their course at the top of the modules page and keep the 'roadmap' of the modules underneath this image as their Home Page within their course. This would help to make it much clearer to students as to what course they are in at any particular time. In reality, this would mesh the concept of a Home Page (as a Page in Canvas) with the structure of the Modules for students to be able to follow the content of a course. Something along the lines of this:

It would simply make for a better way to title a course.

Please, please, please make this available - not just thumbnails. It makes so much sense to be able to keep the modules page as the homepage but with an image.

The sample mock up by @ksalyards above is critical to making the Modules page more inviting and engaging.  I also love the idea of having an RCE at the top of the Modules page so that if we choose to use Modules as the Home Page, we have a place to orient the students to the course. Modules should be the home base so students can get to content with fewer clicks, but with it looking so blah, that is a tough sell when designing courses with and for faculty.

It's unbelievable that this is not an a feature. I'm not sure if there is a single addition that could promote universal course design more than this and nobody is doing anything about it.

Love this idea. Would make it easier to students to navigate directly to content but still have visually engaging content.

We were just talking about how this would make life simpler for instructors and they would not feel compelled to dive into an HTML home page with links which is hard to maintain for many...so sad how old this idea is and that it was mocked up in 2016 but got nowhere...we were thinking in the course where you add your "card" image in settings, you could also have a place to upload one banner (constrained to set size), that would automatically show up at the top of modules, pages, etc.
