There are little to no filters in the mastery gradebook making it hard to filter through the work for the students.
Create filters for gradebook by quarter and semester. This will allow teachers to scope out their work with students not just the work being assessed but also the ways in which students see their progress--instead of an extended bar of work, they can track what they learned at different check points. This will give the students more autonomy and scope, and help teachers understand the work they are giving students.
