[Gradebook] Bulk update Assignment Status

Problem statement:

Hi, this is an old topic that has been archived (Bulk change assignment status) but I'm wondering if any others are still looking for an easier and quicker way to bulk update assignment statuses. It is very cumbersome and tedious for teachers to click on each individual student and update the assignment status one by one. There may be two different ways to resolve this issue:

Proposed solution:

A) Our school has a "not yet graded" custom status if assignments are being graded on paper. It would be nice for teachers to be able to click on all students' assignments and remove the "not yet graded," "late," or "missing" statuses once that assignment has been graded.

B) If a student has an assignment that's marked "late," "missing," etc., could Canvas automatically remove that status once a teacher enters a grade in SpeedGrader? (Or is there code that we can insert to do this?)

Problem statement:

There is no way to bulk-apply grade book designations, such as "missing" or "pending".

Proposed solution:

As a teacher, I would really love to have the ability to bulk-apply grade book designations such as "missing" or "pending", similar to the current function of applying a default grade. The reason for this is that when you have a large number of students, there can also be a relatively large number of students who do not submit an assignment. Grade book designations such as "missing" must often be applied to each individual student, which is tedious and time-consuming. There should be an option to apply a designation in bulk to any student who meets certain criteria or to apply the designation to any student without a grade (for example-again, similar to the ability to apply a default grade).
