[External Tools] Start from an existing document in Collaborations

Problem statement:

Collaborations should be able to start from an existing document. For example, I set up an excel spreadsheet that each student should expand to a new tab and fill out so that each student has a voice in a concensus decision. This is critical for design courses. Now, we have to start from scratch, wasting a lot of time and effort.

Proposed solution:

Add ability to start from an initial collaboration Word, Excel, PPT, etc document rather than a new one. See above for "why"

Thank you for the suggestion! I understand why this would be a useful feature. Unfortunately, this would require work on the tool provider's part to enable, and isn't something the Canvas side can update on our end. I would recommend contacting the tool provider to request that this be enabled.
