[Discussions] Text-entry option that prevents copy/pasting

Problem statement:

We are trying to minimize plagiarism and (especially AI plagiarism). Students are easily able to copy and paste AI writing as their own.

Proposed solution:

In the Rich Content Editor, would it be possible for the copy/paste function to be disabled on certain discussions or assignments for the student? If it is a text entry assignment or discussion post, the teacher could have an option to disable copy-and-pasting in the text editor, and students would have to type out their responses. Obviously they could still type out the entire response from an AI generator, but it would still require the same amount of effort, and would hopefully discourage students from relying on it.

Hi @abergeson1 , thank you for submitting your idea. Have you had a chance to see the Edit History functionality in Discussions Re-Design? It allows Instructors to see the entire edit history and all of the versions of a student's post. Would this functionality address your concern or would you still want to limit copy/paste?
