[Credentials/Badges] Award Badge for Submission Only - No Grade Required

Problem statement:

When initially exploring Canvas Credentials, while setting the trigger for specific assignments to be "Complete item", my thought was that this would be comparable to the Badgr trigger that would allow a requirement to be met only by submitting to an assignment or posting to a discussion. No grade was required. After realizing that for the item to be completed, an instructor would be required to enter a grade and confirming this with Badgr Support on 9/7/23, I am hoping that there can be a change to this. We are planning to use credentials for professional development and the plan was to have badges be awarded after participants submitted to specific assignments. The current setup will require us to go into every submission and post a grade when a grade is not truly needed before a badge will be awarded. With close to a thousand staff members and potentially several submissions per staff member, the current set up will require a potential large amount of time that would not be needed if there was an option to award badges for the submission of an assignment that does NOT include a grade.

Proposed solution:

It would be helpful to have an additional trigger item when adding a badge to a specific assignment called "Complete item - No grade". This would cover discussion posts as well as assignments that have been submitted. This would be a great time saver for those of us who plan to use Canvas Credentials for professional development purposes and are not planning on grading the submissions that are being turned in to complete the professional development requirements.
