[Courses] AI Tool Integration
Faculty time spent in creation of instructional material within Canvas could be significantly decreased while increasing quality of those instructional materials.
Embed AI functionality into the Canvas tools (i.e. rubric creation, discussion board creation, assignment, rich content editor). The ability for faculty to access AI to create materials while inside Canvas, as an extension of the current tools will aid in quality and time spent. Also, the ability to utilize AI to generate feedback, grade, etc. will aid faculty. Having a seamless integration will also help Canvas to stay relevant in the rapidly changing AI world of education. Considering assessment needs to evolve due to AI, providing faculty embedded assistance in creating authentic assessments is also vital to this new learning environment.
