[Canvas Mobile - Student] Different Icons for Discussions and Announcements

Problem statement:

In a user's access report in a course (https://[domain].instructure.com/courses/[course_id]/users/[user_id]/usage), the icon for discussion boards and announcements is the same, and there is no other way to distinguish between the two. Furthermore, when a user lands on the course's announcements page (https://[domain].instructure.com/courses/[course_id]/annoucements), this appears as "Course Discussions" in the Access Report.

UPDATE: upon further investigation it appears that this problem only occurs when the user accesses the Announcements page using Canvas for iOS (and possibly Android app, haven't tested). If the user accesses the page using a browser, the page view will appear as "Course Announcements" (with the megaphone icon) in the Access report, but if they access the same page using Canvas for iOS, it will appear as "Course Discussions" (with speech bubbles icon). This is actually more serious because it means that the page view data in the Access report is not accurately representing how many times students actually access that page (it is splitting up the page views).

Proposed solution:

The easiest solution would be to use a different icon for announcements - it could be the megaphone icon that is used elsewhere in the UI. This could be achieved by testing the parameter "only_announcements" (true for announcements, false for discussions). But perhaps this is also part of a larger discussion about the general de-coupling of Announcements and Discussions. From a pedagogical perspective, the two things are very different.
