Kennethware Design Tools Button Missing?

We have a working instance of Kennethware up on our beta site but for some reason when editing the right sidebar button to open the design tools does not appear.  We did not change the setting to restrict these by role or user (they remain false).  Has anyone had similar issues?

A couple of questions:

1. Current UI or New UI?
2. Is the issue for one specific user or all users?
3. Is the JavaScript/CSS loaded on a secure server (https not http) and is that specified in your global JavaScript klToolsPath variable?

Something else to check:

• Inspect the page using developer tools in most browsers and look at the console to see if there are any errors being thrown.
• You should see messages like "tools_variables.js loaded" in the console if everything is configured properly.

Let me know and we can move on from there.

2) all users it seems, tried with a few and varied the roles

It looks like the scripts are loaded fine and without error (tools variables, addl customizations, triggercheck and mastercontols all loaded).  I am getting a handful of 404s on URLS like this one, however, that do not show up for some users.

As a follow-up in case anyone happens upon this later:

Kenneth and I sat down and tried to figure things out and could not.  He did help me find some related errors and missing files but the same error persisted.

I kept pressing on and eventually found out that I could get the button to show up in Safari.  For whatever reason on my Mac in Chrome, Opera, and Firefox the design tools button was being blocked.

Oddly enough, using the same hosted code on my Mac, everything worked just fine in Chrome and Firefox (didn't try Opera).
