Is it possible to access the due date for an assignment submitted through an LTI tool?

I want my external tool to submit assignments differently depending on if the assignment is past due. Is it possible for my tool to access the assignment's due date?

The Assignment object has a due_at parameter showing the due date you can check in your logic.
