Get assignments/quizzes for all classes as a student

I am a student and want to port over Canvas's inbuilt "todo list" (the list view on Canvas Dashboard) to my own native app. I can't seem to find out how to get all the information provided in this list via the API and I've been banging my head against this for the last couple hours.

Can you point me in the right direction?

I want to import all the tasks into a todo app of some kind. I don't think that's possible as I would have to import the ical to a calendar which creates 15 minute events at midnight, which is not very helpful.

Can you share what you've tried, what endpoint you're hitting, what data you're getting back...? Are there specific fields missing? Or are you getting some kind of error? A little more detail would help to point you in the right direction.

I'm not even sure how to get this as output. I've been reading the documentation to see if there's any way to get this output at all. I'm not sure what I can try such that it would result in even partially the output I want.
