Content Development Outside of Canvas w Push to LMS via API

Hi friends,

I am looking for an institution that has content authors (SMEs, designers) develop content in an external tool (not SCORM) then pushes that content (ie HTML content) into Canvas via the API (ie writing to Pages, Events, Discussion, etc).

This is sort of related to building master courses, but more granular - looking at how individual course content items are created outside the LMS then pushed in via the API. For example, an external calendaring system  used to manage events with details like learning outcomes and instructor information, with that content pushed into Canvas Events via the API. Or a CMS that stores curricular materials like HTML, PPTs and Word docs and pushes those into Canvas via the Files and/or Pages API.

If you, or someone you know, has a content development workflow that includes an external content authoring application (NOT SCORM) with the Canvas API, I'd appreciate a chance to have a conversation with them!

It sounds as though you want to integrate Canvas with other platforms.

If the 3rd party platform supports QTI, that could make things easy.

Is there a specific CMS that you are targeting, or considering?
