Updated resource not showing in 'Updates'

I updated a resource for our group, which is linked to four test courses. When I 'Share to Commons' (toggling the 'This is an update to a previously shared resource' and selecting the correct resource to copy over) the top menu bar still shows 'Updates (0)' and I have no way of pushing it out to the four test courses. Any thoughts on what I'm doing wrong greatly appreciated.

Have you tried waiting a bit?  I think you need to allow at least 30 minutes for the Canvas resource to fully upload to Commons.
