Hello!
I would like to update a few pages within a Commons course I previously created; however, when I toggle the option, "Is this an update to a previously shared resource?", the course does not appear in the list.
I had previously changed the name in Commons and not in my course shell several months ago. According to the instructions at "How do I update a resource I previously shared to Commons?", if I change a filename the new name may not appear in the update toggle. Well, that happened! So, I changed the name back to the original name matching my course shell. It still does not appear when I try to update. I really don't want to upload the entire course again because I've done a lot of versioning that I want to keep track of.
If I wait a day or so, will the system catch up with the name change and allow me to update? Or, is there another workaround?
Thanks for any assistance!

@maryanne_mills ...
This is just a guess, but I'm wondering if the name change you did in Commons is the root cause of the issue. I think it would be best for you to reach out to Canvas Support on this one so they could provide you with additional information. To be honest, I'm not really sure of how the naming may (or may not) relate to content you've shared from the course, so I think a call to Canvas Support would be a good idea.
How do I get help with Canvas as an instructor?
Please keep us posted on your conversation...as this would be helpful to know! Thanks!
I found a workaround. I simply went to Settings and Shared the entire course to Commons again. Even though it was only a few pages that needed updating, it worked fine.
