Is it possible to put a cap on the number of registrations using a promotion code? For example, if I'd like to only make 10 registrations available using the promo code "LUCKYDAY," how would I do that?

Hello @c-mc
I was able to look into this for a little bit. From what I see there is not a way to cap the Promocode from being used a certain amount of times.
I was able to see that an idea was submitted on this which would accomplish what you are trying to do here. You can take a look at that HERE. I do see how that would be useful if you want to run a limited run promotion for some catalog courses.
Hopefully this helps!

Thanks for looking into it, Colton! Based on the other post, it looks like this is something that other users have a need for and are also hoping will soon be possible. Are you able to submit it to the Canvas team as a feature request?
I also NEED a solution to this. Right now a promo code can be either set for unlimited use or for one use per registrant. And we can limit it to a specific listing if desired.
But we need the option to limit how many times a specific promo code be used, even if limited to a single listing. I need to be able to say "this promo code can only be used once." I literally just had this need and I had to watch for a specific person to enroll and use the code so I could disable the code after they enrolled.
I think it could be helpful if we could also limit a promo code to a specific user/email address.
I know there's also been discussion about tiered pricing or discounts based on some kind of prerequisite. I think a promo code limited to a specific user could go a long way towards that. For example, if you wanted to give people who have previously taken a course a discount, you could assign a promo code to their account and email it to them so they can take any future courses and use the promo code each time. Of course there's flaws in that as well, like say they change their email address for some reason. But those are kinks to be worked out.
I know I'm replying to an old post at this point, but it's imperative that we get some improvement in the handling of promotion codes. Even the ability to disable them without deleting them would help tremendously. I'm basically changing the expiration date the day a code gets used when we intend it to be a single use code. This is not a great solution.
@c-mc Unfortunately at this time this isn't an option. I would recommend submitting a feature request for this.
