microphone and video camera required for content editor?

I am brand new to Canvas and have a macbook pro. Will I need to purchase a microphone and video camera in order to use that feature of the content editor?

Hello  @drc ‌, a Macbook pro already has everything you would need unless you are wanting to do high-end video and audio.  The content editor will work without a camera and microphone too, it is just needed if you want to use the recording tools that are part of the content editor.  You may have to allow them in the browser you are using as well for Canvas to have access to use them.

Hi  @drc  Welcome to the Canvas Community.

A quick google tells me that your device has a built in camera and microphone so you have everything you need.

When you need to record anything within Canvas just click on the record tool and follow the prompts. here's a guide that explains it How do I record a video using the Rich Content Editor as a student?
