why every time I submit assignment or assessments it says to re submit

Hi  @oliviamcdaniel2  Welcome to the Canvas Community. Actually, I do not think you need to worry at all. That is normal behavior in Canvas, because students can re-submit an assignment up until the date/time that the instructor no longer allows a submission.  If you check the online student documentation on this page under the View Submission heading, you will see that what you should see after submission is a checkmark on the far right of the screen next to Submitted!  That same screen capture also shows what I think may be worrying you: a Re-submit Assignment button. Again, that is normal behavior.
