Hello @delwar_chowdhur ...
We have the Zoom Pro LTI app integrated in our Canvas environment, and it works well.
Even though the primary reason is to authenticate users (who have already signed in through Canvas), we found that when students click to join a scheduled Zoom meeting, they are redirected to an external Zoom app.
Yes...even though students access the Zoom integration within a Canvas course, when any user (doesn't matter if it's a student or teacher) enters the Zoom meeting, it opens up the Zoom software that was installed on the computer. If you were expecting the Zoom meeting to be displayed directly inside of the Canvas environment, it doesn't work that way. Zoom needs to load its own software to run the meeting. The Zoom Pro LTI only provides the interface for scheduling and launching the meeting.
When scheduling a meeting using Zoom within Canvas, the option for pre-assignment of breakout rooms is not available.
Not every option is available via the Zoom Pro LTI. If you sign in to the Zoom.us website with your Zoom account, you may find additional options for your meeting.
The Zoom meeting does not appear on the Canvas Calendar for that course.
This would depend on how your school's local Canvas administrator has chosen to configure the Zoom Pro LTI at the Canvas account level. It is certainly possible to set up the Zoom Pro LTI to add it automatically to your Canvas Calendar. It's also possible for messages to be sent to students in the course when a Zoom meeting is created/edited/deleted via the Zoom Pro LTI interface in Canvas. If you are not a Canvas administrator, you might want to reach out to your school's Canvas admin to see if they would be willing to configure this. It's all part of the instructions the admin needs after signing in here: App Marketplace: Zoom Pro LTI and LTI Pro for Canvas - LMS Guides - LTI Pro.
I hope this information will be of help to you, Delwar. Sing out if you have any other questions about this. Take care...stay safe...be well.
