Taking a Quiz on a Laptop

When taking a quiz in Canvas on a laptop computer, once a student selects an answer, then uses two fingers to scroll to the next question, the scrolling action changes their answer choice.

Anyone solve this?

The only solution that I have seen for this is to remind students to click a different location on the page (out of the answer choices) before scrolling with two fingers. Not a great solution, but the two finger scroll is used first for the active frame (in this case the answer choices) and then for the active window.
