Speedgrader no longer differentiates between apple pencil and finger input

Not sure when this happened, but the iPad Canvas Teacher app no longer differentiates between finger and apple pencil inputs. Both draw lines on the screen and I can't find an option to change anything.

Hi @JamesKCOS - I'm able to toggle between "finger" and Apple Pencil using iOS14 and iOS15. Near the color circle at the top of the toolbox, there's a button to switch between inputs. Is that available for you in the Canvas Teacher app?

I had that toggle turned on, but it still wasn't working. I had to turn it off and on again to get it working.

The toggle is gone now. I tried uninstalling the Canvas app, “forgetting” my Apple Pencil, and restarting my iPad. I’m not sure what more I can do on my end. Even the toggle in the Apple Pencil settings is on and I tried switching it on and off, but still doesn’t work. This is killing me right now.

So this is still a problem. Eventually the app seems to figure out that I'm using an apple pencil but it takes several minutes. No amount of toggling things on or off seems to help.
