Celebrate Excellence in Education: Nominate Outstanding Educators by April 15!
When will the option to load audio files (.mp3) files be added into quizzes.next? This option is currently available in the old quiz text editor and it is a critical component especially for music courses. It is missing in the text editor in quizzes.next.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Hi @jproppe . I have to admit that I haven't tried this, but just check in my sandbox and see that there is an insert media button in the rich content editor of Q.Next (see below).
One of the options appears to be audio.
Have you tried this to see if it will fit your needs?
All the best!

Thanks very much for the reply ericwerth This info is great news! When we were first introduced to Quizzes.next the ability to create audio quiz questions was not in the presentation. Thanks again!
Best wishes!
You are very welcome @jproppe !
It will not accept m4a audio files though. All MacBook and Apple audio files are m4a. This is a real issue for teachers who are trying to add audio of them reading the question aloud as an IEP or 504 modification.
Pages, assignments, and classic quizzes all accept the m4a files.
I just opened a ticket with Canvas Support (#07074861)
Yes - this is still an issue! It is really frustrating to not be able to drag&drop or import an m4a. We use this is World Languages frequently as well.
I haven't tried it yet, but I wonder if this question has been resolved. Does the platform accept m4a audio and mp4 video files when using Apple? I use all Apple technology.
