Celebrate Excellence in Education: Nominate Outstanding Educators by April 15!
I am an admin for our Canvas instance and we have a few teachers interested in using the eportfolio application. Is there any report that can be run to tell me how many students/teachers are using eportfolios?
Thanks!
Sadly, I cannot find any reports off the data collected from portfolios either.
Am I missing something?
Is there a way I can at least get a CSV file for Excel?
@brendaa ,
We are giving the Canvas Admins area a little bit of love (especially questions that are really, really old) and just want to check in with you. This will also bring this question new attention.
Were you able to find an answer to your question? I am going to go ahead and mark this question as answered because there hasn't been any more activity in a while so I assume that you have the information that you need. If you still have a question about this or if you have information that you would like to share with the community, by all means, please do come back and leave a comment. Also, if this question has been answered by one of the previous replies, please feel free to mark that answer as correct.

Folks, is there any updates to the above questions concerning a report or extract of ePortfolio participation?
I'm looking for a way to determine how many students are using this function in Canvas.
Thanks,
Bill
This is a big deal when we are now required to collect more and more data.
I've searched the Community and haven't yet found a good response to the question about eportfolio usage in our instance. Does such a report exist?
We made a support request, were asked to provide justification, got them to open an engineering ticket, waited a couple of weeks, and finally received a report that listed user, date created, and whether it was public. It provides a decent idea of the usage, but we've followed up to ask if they could add URLs to that report. This definitely doesn't seem like a normal process/request for them.
As a side note, I continue to advocate with our CSM for this to be a standard report available in the Admin Reports. It's actually a bit worrisome to think that we, as administrators, have absolutely no insight into the sites and no ability to audit their use, especially with the ability for them to host publicly available content from our domain/instance. I can just imagine a scenario where there is a student judicial case and I have to tell them we have no way to monitor the use of the tool. With the report I received I can at least masquerade as those accounts to review the portfolios, but having direct links would sure be nice to quickly access them (especially the public ones).
Anyway, I encourage others who have meetings with CSMs to advocate for this as well.
And it looks to me like the API documentation contains nothing related to eportfolios.
Has any api or report been made available for this? I'm looking for a way to measure usage as well.
