Quizzes on Canvas

Hey,

I am an instructor and I have several questions regarding the quizzes on Canvas:

1- Is it possible to shuffle questions randomly?

2- Is there any option to create a Canvas warning before the exam ends? stating for example "Do not forget your Scratch Paper"?

3- Is there a way to keep the camera recording on after the student submit his/her quiz in the Lockdown browser? just for 10 minutes.

Hi -

1. In Classic Quizzes, you create a Question Group and add your questions there.

2. Canvas provides a timer countdown warning at 5 and 1 minutes, but it sounds like you want to give a written notification directly to the students. If it were me, I would include a final "question" (if you're using Classic Quizzes) of the type "Text (no question)" and give your alert there. This way Canvas won't count it as a point/question that will affect the score.

3. No. Unfortunately, the webcam recording stops when the quiz is submitted.

   How do I add all items or a random set from an item bank to an assessment in New Quizzes?

    

2.  Simple answer is "No", but a warning would be nice. Perhaps you can suggest this as a new feature at Idea Conversations
3. Unfortunately, the answer is no. Respondus stops recording once the quiz is submitted.
