Quiz auto saving and submitting?

Hi 

I had a short answer quiz which have 10 min to complete, when I finish answering it, I find out my internet disconnected, when I got it back the quiz is muted, so I didn't hit summit button. 

Just wondering does the quiz auto submting whatever stuff in the text box? Or I have to click submit to do it？

Hello Vincent,

Canvas "auto saves" answers to the Canvas server every few seconds, but only if your computer is actually able to connect to the Canvas server.  If your internet disconnects, the answers will not be saved.

At the end of the 10 minutes, Canvas will auto-submit whatever it had saved most recently, no matter if you click Submit Quiz or not. However, you'd have to review your submission (if that's allowed by the instructor) to know how much was auto-saved before you lost internet.
