Hi @robert_wakelyn ,
At this time partial points auto-grading for categorization questions is not available. Points can be applied or updated manually.

Hi @robert_wakelyn ,
I don't believe this is currently possible in Quizzes.Next, and it appears to be backed up by not having information on such an option in this document, How do I create a Categorization question in Quizzes.Next?

Is this something that might be added?
You say "at this time." Does that mean it will be possible in the future? This and some other things about New Quizzes are making it less than attractive at this point. I have been told that we're going to have to migrate all of our old quizzes to New Quizzes by July. The interface for New Quizzes is a little confusing. Me and one other teacher at my school are probably the most proficient on Canvas and we're even having trouble in spots. Trying to teach other teachers who are....technologically deficient...will be a real challenge.
Well that's just silly.
Hopefully it will be added soon! With categorization, there is always a need to give students credit for the correct answers without having to do it manually. Having to go back to count correct answers for students on Canvas is almost the same as giving a paper test.
