My students can't see their current total grade?

My students are unable to see their current total grade for my class. They can see each individual assignment grade, but it will not give them their total. It shows a locked symbol where their grade would normally display.

I am suspecting that you are using the New Gradebook, and this guide should help you How do I hide grades for an assignment in the New Gradebook?  Specifically

If you do not want students to be able to view their total grade, you can hide the total grade from students

Thanks Kelley! I am not using the New Gradebook just yet. I finally got the wording right when searching for an answer and found the same situation. I needed to go to Settings > More Options > and UNCHECK 'Hide totals in student grades summary' which allowed them to see their current total grade.
