I had all my students' work set up in assingments, then decided it would be better to have it all in modules. I copied the assignment tasks into the modules, but now I have 2 copies of everything in my mark books. If I delete the assignments, will it also delete them from the modules? I don't want to lose mey work and have tostart again.

Hi @suzie_jones ...
I copied the assignment tasks into the modules, but now I have 2 copies of everything in my mark books.
When you say you "copied the assignment tasks into the modules", do you mean that you re-created them on your "Modules" page? Your "Modules" page is used to organize any of the content that you've created in your "Assignments", "Pages", "Discussions", and "Quizzes" pages. (You can add any of these items to your "Modules" page by carrying out the steps in this Guide: How do I add assignment types, pages, and files as module items?) You said that you now have two copies of everything. That leads me to believe that you may have re-created your assignments via your "Modules" page. If that is the case, you not only would have duplicates in your Gradebook, but you would also have duplicates on your "Assignments" page, too. So, what you'll want to do is to go to your "Assignments" page and look for any duplicate items. If there are any duplicates, determine which of the two is safe to delete. How do I delete an assignment? Then, go back to your "Modules" page. If you are missing any items in your "Modules" screen that you know you have items for in your "Assignments", "Discussions", "Pages" or, "Quizzes", you can then add those items as existing items using the first link I provided.
I hope that this will help a bit, Suzie. Please let Community members know if you have any questions about this. Stay safe, and be well!
