Is there a way to directly move an uploaded file on course page from last year to the present course page?

At our university we moved from its learning to Canvas last year. In its learning it was possible to copy files from a course page one semester to the page for the same course a later semester. Is it possible to do so in Canvas as well or  do you need to always upload the file from your own computer. When you work with the same basic material it was really easy to just mark a series of files (for example a collection of research articles or extracts from literature not available online) and then select the new page for the course connected to the recent semester and just copy the files into that page.

How do you manage this in Canvas?

Anyways, yes it is easy to copy from course-to-course in Canvas. You can learn how in the Course Import Tool chapter of the Canvas Instructor Guide.  Specifically check out https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-13035-4152239683

Thanks for the links to the instructions. its learning is a platform used in many Swedish and Nordic schools on all levels, and was the tool used at many universities as well up until 2018. At our university we changed to Canvas between the spring and autumn semesters 2018, and it has been a tuff learning process. Most of us teachers/scholars did not get any substantial training until very late, and had to face learning and building up course pages more or less at the same time as the new students arrived. But I have got some skills over the year. Copying the whole course into a new shell may not be the most urgent for us at the moment, courses tend to change a bit between the years, but some working material is repeated and therefore it would be helpful to just copy it over to one part of the new course shell, for example in files. I will go through the material immediately and spread the knowledge to my team mates.
