How to integrate my own website (using rest API?)

Where can I learn how to save information (scores, learner analytics, etc) from my own website - in Canvas? I have a feeling something like this is what I need:

But I cannot access the tutorials here using my school's log in. And anyway it may be out of date.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?
